Torrential monsoon rains have triggered one of the most severe flooding events in Pakistan’s recent history, leaving devastation in its wake. Homes have been washed away, public facilities destroyed, and water systems and schools damaged. As a result, nearly 10 million children were in desperate need of immediate lifesaving support. In response to this crisis, Rukhsana Foundation, in collaboration with APPNA (Association of Physicians of Pakistani Descent of North America) and AIMCAANA (Allama Iqbal Medical College Alumni Association of North America), has been working tirelessly to provide aid and relief to those affected by the floods.
Rukhsana Foundation extending their relief operations to Nowshera in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. The distribution took place in the Pirpai District, with the assistance of Mr. Saeed Aslam Malik. Four types of relief packages, comprising essential and emergency items, were distributed to those in need. Five hundred cartons of Relief Package 1 were distributed, along with 100 cartons each of packages 2, 3, and 4. Students from Rukhsana Foundation actively participated in the packaging of packages 3 and 4. The distribution process was coordinated by Mr. Saeed Aslam and Mr. Sheraz Babar, who compiled a list of beneficiaries and facilitated the distribution by providing tokens.
Furthermore, the Foundation organized a medical camp where committed doctors, including Dr. Rizwan Fazal and the esteemed Patron Naeem Tahirkheli, played a pivotal role in providing essential medical care to patients afflicted by skin and respiratory diseases.
They distributed medicines worth Rs. 500,000 to those in need, including antibiotics, paracetamol, vitamins, and skin ointments. Through their relentless efforts, Rukhsana Foundation, in collaboration with partner organizations, has been instrumental in providing much-needed relief to the flood-affected communities in Pakistan. Their swift response and comprehensive relief packages have helped alleviate the suffering of thousands of individuals, particularly children, who are most vulnerable in such disasters. Rukhsana Foundation remains committed to its mission of serving humanity, ensuring that those affected by natural disasters receive the support and assistance they urgently require.
