Dr. Naeem Tahirkheli

Dr. Naeem Tahirkheli was born and raised in Pakistan. He had a passion for pursuing a career in medicine so he did his MBBS at Allama Iqbal Medical College Lahore. He is a patron of the Rukhsana foundation. After completing medical studies, internship, and a residency in internal medicine and cardiology, Dr. Tahirkheli proceeded to the U.S.A, to complete a residency in internal medicine, plus fellowships in Cardiology, and subspecialty of interventional cardiology at the prestigious Mayo Clinic In Rochester, Minnesota U.S.A. He is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in three areas Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Diseases, and Interventional Cardiology. He has also done a significant amount of research. He has authored chapters in various textbooks, including a couple in “The Mayo Clinic Cardiology Review, one of the largest-selling cardiology textbooks.

He has worked at St. Anthony’s Hospital, Moore Medical Center, and OCA’s Satellite clinics in Moore and Newcastle. Presently he is working at Oklahoma Heart Hospital Oklahoma City U.S.A. He examines a wide variety of patients and performs various procedures, everything from Cardiac and Peripheral Angioplasty/ Stents/Pacemakers and Echo Cardiographs Imaging. Dr. Tahirkheli’s long-term relationships and friendships with patients and their families is his favorite part of the job. He is on the call for 24 hours and works long hours, which sometimes comes at a cost to his own family, but saving patients’ lives, and seeing the relief and joy in their loved ones, makes it all worth it.
