Mrs. Rukhsana Mushtaq Tahirkheli (Late)

Mrs. Rukhsana Mushtaq Tahirkheli was born on 9th May, 1942, Her father was serving in British Army as an officer at that time. At the age of five she was admitted to Presentation Covent High School Rawalpindi. It was there that she started helping the community. She was always ready to part with her pocket money for the needy. After her graduation in 1963, she was married to an army officer Mushtaq Tahirkheli. She had two children namely Naeem Tahirkheli who is a cardiologist in U.S.A and a daughter, Eram Sheikh who is happily married to a renowned businessman in Karachi.

As she always had a will to help the needy and her husband being in Army, the family was often moving to different locations, she used to teach the children of her servants and others in the community and help them in every way where ever she went. Her son Naeem Tahirkheli became a medical doctor and went to U.S.A in the nineties. By the grace of God he did very well over there. As he learned about the spirit of giving from his mother, he wanted to share his good fortune and help in return the underprivileged segment of society in Pakistan, so an organization Rukhsana Foundation was created in 2005. Mrs. Rukhsana Mushtaq personally managed this organization and opened an elementary school and clinic in 2008. She left for heavenly abode in September 2018. She was an inspiration for everyone. Her ever smiling face was a sign of comfort for all. She worked tirelessly for the service of the community through Rukhsana Foundation till her final day. Rukhsana Foundation is committed to take her mission forward. It is as she said herself believed that till the will of God is there, this organization will Insha’Allah continue its endeavors to bring smile on the faces of the underprivileged and will keep playing its role in making life better for them.
