STEM is a curriculum introduced in 2017 based on education in four specific disciplines namely Science,
Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. The idea is to integrate these disciplines into a cohesive learning
rather then separate and discrete subjects. STEM uses robotics as medium to integrate all the subjects which
involves designing, construction, calculation of moves and so in order to integrate the stages and subjects
in practical to provide an even better understanding to the children. As per the tradition of Rukhsana
Foundation of bringing new concepts and advancements in education and making these a part of curriculum,
STEM was introduced in 2017. 5 lego robotic kits were acquired at a cost of Rs400,000. Initially STEM was
included in the curriculum for grade 4 to grade 8. Students are getting acquainted with this technology
based discipline and are really enjoying doing various projects.
