Rukhsana Foundation was Registered as an NGO in 2005. The object of
establishing this NGO was to provide Medical & Educational
Facilities to the segments of society who due to poverty or other
reasons, are unable to provide such basic necessities to their
families. The school was established in 2008 by Mrs. Rukhsana Mushtaq
Tahirkheli (LATE), graduate house wife, from one room to her house.
The Foundation was built on the premise that every human has the
right to an access of quality education and healthcare services.
Ever since embarking on this journey, our sole purpose has been to
provide these resources to those who are deprived of it, since we
believe it’s our moral duty. We started from Afghan refugees and now
endeavor to accommodate every member of the disadvantaged background.
The Students enrolled were children of “Pathan Kuchra Pickers
(Garbage Collectors).” At present 265 students are enrolled in 9
classes starting from K.G (Kindergarten) to Class 8. Besides these,
STEM (Science, Technology, Education & Mathematics) Classes and
Vocational Training is also provided by Specialized Teachers.
Students include both girls and boys. The education includes Free
Classes, Summer and Winter Uniforms, Stationery, Text Books/Note
Books, Fully Equipped Computer Laboratory, Smart Boards in every
class, I.Pads, Video Game Consoles, Library and
Educational/Entertainment Trips. Class 7 was added to the School in
2019 on the specific request of girls( students of class 6), who
were afraid that not only their education will be discontinued but
following family tradition they will be married at young age.
